Identity Theft Resource Center (ITRC)
A non-profit dedicated entirely to identity theft victims. Offers free one-on-one support from trained advisors, a toll-free helpline (888-400-5530), and step-by-step recovery guidance for any type of identity crime.
National Association of Consumer Advocates (NACA)
A nationwide network of attorneys and consumer advocates who represent individuals against corporations in consumer protection and FCRA cases. Use their directory to find a lawyer who takes cases on contingency.
National Consumer Law Center (NCLC)
The leading legal research and advocacy organization for low-income consumers. Their "For Consumers" portal offers free guides, self-help tools, and referrals on credit reporting, debt collection, and fair credit laws.
